About Me

My photo
Kel Tech
My name is Kelly and in 2008 I moved to Detroit to begin work on my Ph.D. in Instructional Technology. I have finished my coursework and will take qualifying exams in October 2010. Prior to my arrival in Detroit, I worked as a Technology Trainer for 4 years, and my last two years as a K-8 Classroom Computer Teacher. In 2004, with the help of a friend, I started a business, Kel Tech Industries, a technology training and design firm. KTI has conducted trainings for individuals, non-profit organizations, and school districts. It has also designed various marketing and design products for businesses, and created, written, and produced a children television typing show, KAT (Kids And Technology). This blog is to document and discuss educational technology topics, trends, and concerns, as well as, my experiences and exposures to the city of Detroit.
